Below, we’ll give you a quick rundown on Hostinger.com and why you may want to choose them as your next web host.
Price
Unless you are on a very strict budget, price should never be your first priority when it comes to choosing a web host. More often than not, low prices are a sign that you will get stuck on a slow, overloaded server with thousands of other sites or get bad support from the company.
But that doesn’t always have to be the case. We have tried out Hostinger and found their server speeds to be slightly above average and their support speed and quality of responses to be superior compared to other web hosting companies of similar size. Our experience with web hosting (which is a LOT) has shown that some companies support goes downhill as they grow in size. Thankfully, we haven’t found that to be the case with Hostinger.

Hostinger Web Hosting Packages
In this article, we are only looking at shared web hosting but Hostinger also offers many other options including VPS and Cloud hosting. Most people are just going to be using standard shared hosting so that’s what we’ll focus on.
Which package you choose will depend on your needs and maybe your budget. If you only need to run one website and you don’t expect it to be getting thousands of visitors everyday, then single shared hosting is probably the best choice. It allows you to setup only one website and have one email address for that site. You’re limited to 100Gb of bandwidth per month, but that is a ton already.
If you want a free domain included with your hosting, you would need to choose one of the higher priced packages but we strongly suggest buying your own domain separately from a good domain registrar like Namecheap.

Things to consider when choosing a web hosting package at Hostinger:
The single plan doesn’t give you backups by default but if you are using WordPress to run your site, you could always back it up manually with a good plugin. We use and recommend Duplicator. The free version will work fine but there is no scheduling option. Or you can simply upgrade your account and get daily backups for 95 cents/month.
If you want the option and security of having backups done for you, you might as well choose Premium hosting package or higher.
You may have noticed that we made no mention of the SSL certificate option, which Hostinger provides on their business plan. That’s because it’s easy enough to get a free SSL certificate from letsencrypt or use a stronger commercial SSL certificate from a provider like Rapidsslonline.
Hostinger FAQ
Like most good web hosting companies, Hostinger offers an uptime guarantee. Here is how it works:
Hostinger promises a 99.9% Uptime. If they fail to meet that in any given month, you can contact them and they will give you a credit of 5% of your hosting fees for that month. The credit can be applied to future purchases, it is not a cash refund.
Hostinger offers a 30 day money-back guarantee on all their hosting packages. Like anything, some exclusions apply so read the fine print. Hostinger even offers refunds on SSL certificates and most domain transfers, which is a nice feature that most web hosting companies don’t offer.
If you don’t know what SSD is, it stands for Solid State Drive. SSD’s are MUCH faster than standard drives and more reliable as well.
Hostinger utilizes SSD drives for all their hosting packages.

Hostinger offers 24/7/365 tech support. Because they are a large company, there are always support technicians available unlike some of the smaller companies.
Hostinger offers support via a standard ticketing system, email or live chat. They do not offer phone support.
We have tested their support and got a response via live chat in between 90 seconds and 4 minutes. One support ticket was answered in just a few minutes but the second one we sent took about an hour. We would rate their support at a solid 8.5/10.
